📖 Meaning & Usage

The Flag of Uzbekistan emoji (🇺🇿) represents the national flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It features three horizontal bands of blue, white, and green, separated by thin red stripes. A crescent moon and twelve stars are located in the upper hoist corner on the blue band. The blue symbolizes the sky and water, white represents peace and purity, and green symbolizes nature and new life. The red stripes represent the life force within. The crescent moon symbolizes Islam, the predominant religion, and the twelve stars represent the twelve regions (viloyats) of Uzbekistan, or alternatively, the twelve months of the Islamic calendar. This emoji is commonly used to represent Uzbekistan, Uzbek culture, Uzbek people, or topics related to the country. It was introduced in Unicode 6.0 in 2010.
